Can someone please point me in the direction of music that is allowed to be used in a short film, free of charge. Any information to this would be appreciated.

Is the film a non-commercial project? A lot of the audio in the Open Source Audio collection is licensed under Creative Commons licenses, which specify exactly under what terms you're allowed to use it.

You can use any of my band's music if it's appropriate for your project. We're under a Creative Commons License. Just go to bleedingturnips.com/sounds. We're glad to help in any way we can. Good luck with your project.

Absolutely, I'd love to make the Bleeding Turnips' music available on archive.org. In fact, I'm working on that right now. (-:

I felt a little awkward posting a link to the band's site (I really didn't want to use a public forum to "advertise" for my band), but I wanted to extend the offer even though the Bleeding Turnips' music isn't available on archive.org yet.

Posting the link was appropriate in response to the user's request - you provided the person with a good answer :)

I'm excited to see your band's stuff up on archive.org. Will you post it to Open Source Audio or to the Live Music Archive?

Jon

I'm new to archive.org, but I'm guessing I should post to both since we have both studio and live material available.

Also we should have some more material available soon. We're long overdue for some more studio sessions.
